Wildfire Wins Extreme is a follow-up to the wildly successful Wildfire Wins. Both games were developed by Just For The Win and, being a sequel, you can expect a lot of similarities between this new version and its predecessor. The game has a lot of interesting symbols and features, all of which we will cover in this review.
The game follows a blue electric theme, with a translucent background on the main reels. The main symbols include horseshoes, bells, four-leaf clovers, and other symbols that you would find in a typical deck of cards.
The left side has all the symbols that can become special during gameplay, while to the right of that and in the center of the screen you will find the reels. The game has five reels, each of which has five rows where the different symbols reside.
Wildfire Wins Extreme has 50 paylines that can reward you with up to 10,000 times your initial wager. The minimum bet is 0.2 units, and you can bet up to 25 units. This slot game has a respectable RTP of 96.18%, although the volatility is quite high, making the hit rate quite low at about 22%.
The symbols A, K, Q, J, and 10 are the lower-paying cards, paying between 0.5 and 1x your wager if you get five of them after a spin. The diamond, bell, 7 and horseshoe are the higher-paying symbols, paying between 1.2 and 5 times your wager for landing five of them.
The wild symbol is blue and white with the word “WILD” written on it. The wild substitutes all other symbols apart from the bonus scatter symbol.
This symbol bears the words “Wildfire Bonus Wheels” and appears on the first, third, and fifth reels. Landing three of these scatter symbols transfers you to the Wildfire Wheels feature. This feature includes three wheels, and you advance to the next if a previous spin allows you to. Getting to the third wheel gives you a chance to win the 10,000X prize.
Any of the lower-paying symbols can appear on the slots as special symbols. In this state, they are white and blue, and they trigger the respins feature. They do this if one of these symbols is struck by lightning, gets “charged” and becomes part of a win. The symbol is marked so it does not appear again, and all other special symbols become wild and stick to the reels during the respins.
The respins will continue as long as one of the special symbols is part of a win. This triggering special symbol is marked off the list. Once you have all the special symbols off the list, you will be given a final respin with a multiplier of between 2 and 10X.
While branded the same, Wildfire Wins Extreme is different from Wildfire Wins, its predecessor, in that the regular symbols have a higher payout, and this version has a higher RTP. Regardless, this is a fun game with a massive win. Its volatility might put off some players, but its RTP more than makes up for it.
